Nubianette Fashion Industry Quarterly Report on Fashion, Law, and Creative Growth in Africa

The 2024–2025 Nubianette Fashion Industry Quarterly Report is finally here—and it’s more than just a document. It’s a field guide to the growing pains, bold ambitions, and untapped opportunities within Africa’s fashion sector.

This report captures the essence of our first two Creators Corner roundtables, held in partnership with some of Africa’s most respected legal and creative institutions. From unpacking the alarming normalization of design theft to championing legal literacy, the report chronicles what happens when lawyers, designers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs commit to solving big problems—together.

With over 1,500 in-person and online attendees across both editions, and the support of visionary partners like Aluko & Oyebode, Olaniwun Ajayi, and others, we’ve built a bridge between Africa’s creative talent and the professionals who can help protect and scale it.

It’s not perfect. It’s not complete. But it’s real. This is what collaboration looks like in motion.

We invite researchers, investors, founders, law firms, and policy advocates to explore the insights, challenges, and breakthroughs shared in this publication. Most importantly, we invite you to build with us.

The next Creators Corner—focused on music, IP, and royalties—holds in June 2025. Until then, take a moment to explore the blueprint we’ve laid out.
